Humpday, odd story about two guys trying to prove something to themselves

Mark Duplass, from indie gems Hannah and the Stairs and The Puffy Chair, and Joshua Leonard, wearing a beard and face striking similar to Zach Galifianakis, star in an indie comedy about two straight guys who decide they want to film a live sex scene with each other to compete in an "art porn" festival. It's a drunken night dare, but they try their damnedest to convince each other the next day they were serious and that the other is backing down. Man, these guys have problems. Well, there's the setup, and the script is just brilliant. These boys have a hard enough time just preparing for a kiss, which they eventually dive-bomb into like seagulls going for fish. Their motivations are complex and real, but the day of the event looms over them like the day you have to have heart surgery. Also in the mix is Mark's wife, Alycia Delmore, who you must know will freak out if and when she hears the news. This kind of comedy is almost too painful, but it is what it is. 3 stars.
