Cheech & Chong's Nice Dreams (1981)

Title is a play on the words "Ice Cream", the truck and cover lovable Cheech and Chong drive around town in selling pot. It's got a big balloon head of a dopey guy smoking a joint -- these have got to be two of the most negligent pot dealers in all of California! But it's okay, because the law enforcement is just as stupid. The chief of police smokes weed in his office through a nifty toy gun pipe, as he claims the only way to catch a pothead is to think like one, and eventually he smokes a foreign strain which literally turns him into a lizard. Then there's a bustling scene in a restaurant where our heroes snort coke under the table with Pee Wee Herman, and a strange lady with too much makeup keeps bothering Tommy Chong, who laughs ashamedly, and she steals his dinner. It's rampant, soulless entertainment, like Bachelor Party and Animal House. Cheech and Chong lie, steal and chase women around like a couple of young horndogs. Their life-loving spirit is infectious, but not enough so to save this kind of trash.
